Welcome to BeanThere. By downloading, accessing, or using the BeanThere app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
BeanThere is a social app for coffee enthusiasts to review cafes and home-brewed coffee, follow other users, and earn badges based on their activity.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, or by continuing with Apple or Google, you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, you must have a parent or guardian's permission. We may suspend or delete an account if we learn the person behind it is under 13.
You may create a registered account (email + password) or use Guest mode to browse without an account. Guests cannot post reviews, follow other users, or edit a profile — these actions require creating a real account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of the reviews, photos, and other content you post ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant BeanThere a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content within the app as part of its normal operation (e.g., showing your review to other users, aggregating it into a cafe's overall rating). You're solely responsible for your User Content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
You agree not to: post false, defamatory, or misleading reviews; post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights; impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any business; use the app to spam, scrape, or abuse other users; attempt to circumvent the app's guest restrictions or security rules. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
Every review and every profile in the app has a “…” menu with Report and Block. Reporting sends the content to us together with the reason you pick. Blocking hides that person’s reviews from you and yours from them, and can be undone at any time in Settings → Blocked accounts.
We aim to review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks section 5 is removed, and the account that posted it may be suspended or terminated. If something needs urgent attention, or you cannot reach the in-app tools, email shefinadav@gmail.com.
If you are a cafe owner, a person appearing in a photo, or the owner of copyrighted material, and you believe a review or image should be removed, email shefinadav@gmail.com with a link to or description of the content, your relationship to it, and the reason for the request. We will respond and, where the request is well-founded, remove the content.
Posting a photo you do not have the right to share breaks section 5. We remove infringing content on notice, and we may terminate accounts that infringe repeatedly.
Cafe names, locations, and details are sourced in part from the Google Places API and in part from user-submitted content. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this information. Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions of individual users, not BeanThere's endorsement of any cafe or business.
The app relies on third-party services, including Firebase (Google), the Google Places API, and Expo's push notification service, to operate. Your use of the app is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.
BeanThere is free to use and carries no advertising. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we will make clear what is paid before anything is charged. We may also add, change, or remove features at any time.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for other reasonable operational or legal reasons.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that cafe/location data will always be accurate or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeanThere and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the app will be brought before the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel. If you are a consumer in a place whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, nothing here takes that right away.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
